Uma exposição é um furacão.
In it, we can find artworks that are, for the first time, entering into friction, sharing a space, and activating each other simultaneously.
This exhibition is not only what we see. We can find thought systems in it. And each artist’s words are powerful elements to introduce us to this unprecedented configuration, with centripetal and centrifugal drives that echo through the exhibition space. In this Journal, we prioritize the word of the artists of the 12th Biennial in Porto Alegre. In several cases, they are seminal texts, pertaining the opening presentation of some of the selected series. In it, we can find artworks that are, for the first time, entering into friction, sharing a space, and activating each other simultaneously. This exhibition is not only what we see. And each artist’s words are powerful elements to introduce us to this unprecedented configuration, with centripetal and centrifugal drives that echo through the exhibition space.
In this Journal, we prioritize the word of the artists of the 12th Biennial in Porto Alegre. In several cases, they are seminal texts, pertaining the opening presentation of some of the selected series.
Other texts emancipate themselves from the artworks, in order to express aspects linked to each artist’s thought. These are documents, commitments, manifests. The selection is presented in the original language each reflection was published (Portuguese, Spanish, English). Our purpose is to expand these artworks into a constellation of texts, conceived from the languages in which the Latin American modern and contemporary art knowledge is produced. We intend to bring this knowledge closer to the public of Biennial, as a way to open them for the complex thought involved in each one of the exposed artworks. An artwork is not only what we see; it is a tangle of senses.

Hace años que titulo mis muestras comenzando por la palabra traducción, que escribo al comienzo de una frase, la palabra traducción está conjugada, y deviene acción, será, traer, mostrar, decir a mi propia lengua, y como bien vos lo escribís, haciendo una suerte de juego, donde el error, funciona como un acto fallido que rompe el candado de la censura, construyendo una posibilidad utópica.

El Tendedero en mi prepa
El Tendedero es un proyecto que me ha regalado muchas sorpresas. Algunas son difíciles, como enterarme que una profesora colocó un Tendedero en su cubículo y otra maestra le puso una queja ante la Comisión de Derechos Humanos porque estaba creando un ambiente hostil en su universidad.
