Pop Center
In the Estalo presented at the Pop Center, mass communication, color, and the movement of bodies are brought to the scene in the desire to reflect on the fleetingness and volatility of human relationships. The works seek a coexistence with the very mechanics of the exhibition space, geared toward popular commerce in the center of Porto Alegre.
The dialogues established by the works arise from a language more attuned to pop, the use of neon from signage, and the saturated colors of phone cases and clothing prints. In a social time where speed is the rule, the installation of a dance floor leads the public to a place where hurried movement is replaced by a slowdown mediated by pleasure.
