“Since the first iteration, I have thought the Biennial was a wonderful project. Which is why I am such an enthusiast and have always tried to support the displays. In fact, supporting culture has always been very important to me. I believe in culture as a value and so I am very happy today to be taking up this challenge".
The Gaúcha, Carmen Ferrão, has been a leader and businesswoman throughout her career. She began at Lojas Pompéia working in the marketing and sales departments. She worked towards training and development, looking overseas to what could be learned about retail or from case studies. She attended the famous Disney University Professional Development Programs in Orlando; completed an Advanced Management Program in France, as well as other courses in Europe and the United States. She has always been forward thinking, designing new retail developments in Brazil and across the world. Carmen Ferrão was the founder of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of Rio Grande do Sul and Vice President of the Chamber of Store Owners of Porto Alegre. She has also written a book “In Search of Emotion - How Feeling Has Transformed Marketing at the Turn of the Century”, and has been involved in several awards, such as the ADVB / RS Marketing Personality Trophy, the Porto Alegre Trade
Association’s Entrepreneur of the Year and Woman in Marketing by Marketing Magazine, in
Rio de Janeiro. Currently, she is the managing partner of the Lins Ferrão Group, and divides
her time between planning for the Pompéia and Gang brands, golf and piano lessons.
Carmen Ferrão is an Art Lover, as well as President of the Mercosul Biennial Foundation,
